Our Story

The story of Spring of Life began in the late 1990s with a bold dream. Faithful United Methodists from across Florida saw a stretch of land on a two-lane road in what is now Lake Nona. These faithful people saw more than soil – they saw a future.  Their generosity planted the first seeds of a  faith community that would eventually grow to support and encourage thousands of families in Lake Nona. In 2002, Pastors David and Carolyn Williamson arrived to bring the vision to life, a church in the Lake Nona community. They began gathering people in living rooms, then at the Lake Nona YMCA, and at Wycliffe, which blossomed into  a community where everyone was welcomed and children were at the heart of the mission. As the congregation grew, it became clear that the time had come to build on the land God had already provided.

In 2007, the long‑held vision became reality as Spring of Life opened the first brick‑and‑mortar church facility in Lake Nona, intentionally designed with an Early Learning Center at its core. The church quickly became known for its ministry to families and its partnerships throughout the community.

Over the years, Spring of Life has been blessed by the unique gifts of each of its pastors; David and Carolyn Williamson, Josh Bell, Esther Rodriguez, Ivan Gonzalez, and Mike Luzinski. Each chapter of our legacy has been guided by the mission:  embracing all to become vessels of God’s overflowing grace. Today, that mission continues to guide us. We’re committed to becoming a community hub – a place where children, youth, and families find support, healing, and hope.  Spring of Life is stepping into a new chapter—one that includes building a new Early Learning Center to double our capacity to serve and nurture children. This will also enable us to  transition part of our current church building space for nonprofit partners who will extend vital ministry throughout Lake Nona.

The story of Spring of Life isn’t just about buildings or dates, it’s about the people. It is a story that is still being written, and we would love for the next chapter to include you. Whether you’re exploring faith, searching for community, or ready to make a difference, there’s a place for you here.
