Our Story

People began contributing to the vision that would become of Spring of Life in the late 90s when faithful United Methodists donated money to purchase the property where the church sits today. It wasn’t until 2002 that Pastors David and Carolyn Williamson were sent to Lake Nona to plant a church. They got to work creating a community where everyone was included and children were a priority. After holding worship at the YMCA and Wycliffe with Bible studies in homes, the time came to build on the land God had already provided.

Wise leaders designed the church building to feature 6 Early Learning Center classrooms for children ages 2-5. In 2007 the vision from a decade earlier was realized, a thriving community church faithfully doing ministry in Lake Nona entered into a new chapter. Spring of Life became the first church with a brick and mortar facility and leveraged that through their community partnerships and ministry to families.

Through the years Spring of Life has been served by Pastors David and Carolyn Williamson, Josh Bell, Esther Rodriguez, Ivan Gonzalez, and Mike Luzinski. Each leader has shared their own gifts and made progress on living out our mission, embracing all to become vessels of God’s overflowing grace. The story of Spring of Life is still unfolding and we would love for you to be a part of our God-sized goals, like building a new Early Learning Center to double our capacity while hosting nonprofits to do ministry out of our current church building. If you’d like to learn more about the story of Spring of Life or be a part of it, we’d love to connect with you! Click here to fill out our online connect card.

Our Mission

Embracing all to become vessels of God’s overflowing grace

Our Foundational Scripture

On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

John 7:37-38

Our Vision

Creating a community hub to help children & youth and their families with real life issues for the healing of the home and the strengthening of the community.

Our Core Values

Opening Minds

Spring of Life believes in providing a safe place to explore doubts, differences, and experience the wonders of God’s grace. “Then he opened heir minds to understand the Scriptures.” (Luke 24:45 NLT)

Healing Hearts

Through the Church, Christ offers spiritual, emotional, and mental wholeness to those who have experienced broken relationships and pain in the world. “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.” (James 5:16 NLT)

Enriching Families

God works through our relationships with one another as children of God. “God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.” (Psalm 68:6a NLT)

Sharing Joy

We are united through our joy when we celebrate one another. “How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!” (Psalm 133:1 NLT)

Welcoming All

We embody the welcoming arms of Christ. “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.” (Matthew 25:35-36 NLT)
